Ice Maiden – Alysa Blackwood-Bevan

Had to share this as it’s just so beautiful. Thank you Alysa.

Ice Maiden

When the first flakes of snow
Came drifting slowly down
They fell just like confetti
Upon your bridal crown

You were reposed and elegant
Even in your death
Shrouded by the freezing air
Of winters ragged breath

I kept vigil over you
All throughout that night
Watchful, still and silent
Bathed in pale moonlight
