Remember Them? – 1

I thought it would be nice to relive some of the tunes that I for some time had forgotten about but at times in my life meant something to me, they will mainly be the songs and bands that anyone under the age of thirty (Ok forty… who am I kidding!) may never have heard of, if you’re a little older you may just have some memories of your own in amongst the music to follow, there’ll be some rubbish in here but I can promise there’ll be some gems too.

I wanted to start with this a song called ‘Aubrey’ by a little heard of band called Bread. David Gates Jimmy GriffinRobb Royer  and Mike Botts  1968-73 (there were reunions). Bread was an American soft rock band they had 13 songs in the top 100 between 1970 and 1977 and were an example of what later was labeled as soft rock.

They simple made beautiful songs which are still being played today. They were a little early for me but I was introduced to their music around 1983 and have been enjoying it ever since.

  1. I thought I didn’t remember this band – definitely didn’t remember this song – had to look them up and did find at least one of theirs I remember, “Guitar Man” – You picked a really lovely one.
