I thought it would be nice to relive some of the tunes that I for some time had forgotten about but at times in my life meant something to me, they will mainly be the songs and bands that anyone under the age of thirty (Ok forty… who am I kidding!) may never have heard of, if you’re a little older you may just have some memories of your own in amongst the music to follow, there’ll be some rubbish in here but I can promise there’ll be some gems too.
Today’s choice is Jethro Tull the height of progressive rock, they constantly reinvented themselves from 1967 and even with splits they are still touring to date with a massive following. Led by Ian Anderson and Martin Barre being the lynch pins and far too many other members over the years to mention but they were always incredibly talented musicians. I will leave it at that because I know only too well that I could bored you to death with info on this band, After seeing then 41 times I suppose I would be qualified. 😉
I chose this song ‘Home’ because it just makes me smile, so atmospheric, so beautiful. In fact picking this song happened purely by chance for this post (You nearly got Songs From The Wood) but when I came across it tears welled up and I knew I had to share it with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
With thanks to Ian Barre for the link.
