Remember Them? – 13

I thought it would be nice to relive some of the tunes that I for some time had forgotten about but at times in my life meant something to me, they will mainly be the songs and bands that anyone under the age of thirty (Ok forty… who am I kidding!) may never have heard of, if you’re a little older you may just have some memories of your own in amongst the music to follow, there’ll be some rubbish in here but I can promise there’ll be some gems too.

Dire Straits – A UK rock band 1977 – 1995, they got their unique sound by mixing genres Jazz, folk, blues and rock and it worked so well for them that in the mid 80’s they were by far the best selling band actually being in the charts almost constantly. Their album ‘Brother’s In Arms’ selling over 30 million copies.

Having said all of that I wasn’t a huge fan but the track ‘Romeo And Juliet’ is one of those that just makes me stop and listen, a beautiful love song and rock ballad, relax and enjoy.

Thank you SingleHandedKnopfler for the video.
