Remember Them? – 19

I thought it would be nice to relive some of the tunes that I for some time had forgotten about but at times in my life meant something to me, they will mainly be the songs and bands that anyone under the age of thirty (Ok forty… who am I kidding!) may never have heard of, if you’re a little older you may just have some memories of your own in amongst the music to follow, there’ll be some rubbish in here but I can promise there’ll be some gems too.

Suzanne Vega, American singer -songwriter who is the mistress of folk inspired pop. She had a lot of success in the 80’s, starting her career in 1982,  her two most famous songs were Luca and Tom’s Diner although it’d take a while to get through her whole back catalogue. She is still touring today, so if you get the chance go and see her, you won’t regret it.

The only person who I have seen live that could hold the audience spellbound in total silence, it was as if she was daring us to miss just a single note as she wove her magic. There are more famous songs that she has recorded but this reminds me of a particular place and a particular time in my life.

Enjoy
