I thought it would be nice to relive some of the tunes that I for some time had forgotten about but at times in my life meant something to me, they will mainly be the songs and bands that anyone under the age of thirty (Ok forty… who am I kidding!) may never have heard of, if you’re a little older you may just have some memories of your own in amongst the music to follow, there’ll be some rubbish in here but I can promise there’ll be some gems too.
B.A.Y, B.A.Y, B.A.Y.C.I.T.Y, with a R.O. double L, E.R.S. Bay City Rollers are the best.
How could they be forgotten, the Bay City Rollers, the 1970’s legendary boy band, from Edinburgh, they were the ‘tartan teen sensations’. For a few short years their sales rivaled those of the beatles and the Osmonds. Having said that the BCR’s are still touring and still wowing crowds, although the line up has changed dramatically.
I was a huge fan in the 70’s much to my embarrassment in the 80’s when the family always liked to remind me, whilst I was listening to rock classics.
But a few days ago I went to see them live and they are still just as much fun as they were to the ten year old me.
I recommend everyone at some time to re-visit their childhood.
Blimey – tartan troos an’all.

Oh nooo! How could you? my sister ( who shared my room) constantly played this… over and over and you get my drift. I hoped never to have to hear them or see their too short trousers and ridiculous platform shoes or the tartan scarves. Now I am twitching and need to sit in a darkened room.
