This is part of a 3 word challenge that I like to do to a lot, it warms me up so I can get on with my writing of Book 3 (I will give it a title soon). Occasionally I do one that I like, those are the ones I will share with you.
The 3 words for this are, anxiety, rope, man.
Jerry was anxious this morning, there was a knot in his stomach. He was a big hulk of a man but this was too much. His nerves were in tatters, he should be used to it by now.
Outside, on the other side of the wall the rope was being tested and the knots checked for strength and accuracy.
There would be a hundred people, maybe more coming to watch this spectacle. He was the star of the show, he was the rope man.
He walked out of the room and down the corridor with the other men surrounding him. His anxiety heightening. He emerged into the daylight to face the crowds.
The tug-o-war was the highlight of the town fete.
