The height of amusement in the 70’s the viewmaster. We could travel the world whilst staying in our own lounge for the first time. It was so exciting, it gave people the chance to review places so they didn’t have to travel there to write about them. It was the pre-curser to virtual reality (she says laughingly). Really, after ten minutes of views of lakes and mountains you thought life couldn’t get any better. Just goes to prove what great imaginations writers of that era had to have.
A bit of cardboard and a few colour pics and the 70’s authors were all set.
