  1. Hey Steph,

Stopping to ponder the overarching questions is sometimes just as worthwhile as seeking answers. I think most people and places across the UK are blighted with a drizzly grizzled old day today and moods reflect that. Yesterday was at least bright sunny and warm.

My day was relaxed and still is thank you spent idly musing, dreaming eating sweets (lol) watching a film or two and writing comments on WP. Actually I’m not long back from a milk, sugar, coffee run and stopped off at the charity shop only to return home with a large peppermill – actually 3 of them as they needed the space on their shelves. πŸ™‚ Not sure what i’ll do with three of them but there you go.

Did you manage to get much done on your final draft or were you inundated with customers? What type of business do you run? Do you mind me asking? It sounds as if you are very passionate about your job and the enterprise you have undertaken. The reference to 7 days per week suggests you might be in retailing?

We were having a discussion at work regarding the ‘daily grind of getting up coming to work, going home’ etc, when someone suggested such disquiet will eventually leading to human cloning. And I would buy me a model of myself and send that into work every day and not I! And I would make sure they were bloody grateful about it as well lol πŸ™‚ bwahahahahah!

Perhaps your evening will provide all you need and wrap you in a duvet to slumber.

    Namaste πŸ™‚

    • Good morning, Re. 3 pepper mills, paint them in bright colours and use them as decorations in your kitchen…
Don’t eat too many sweets they will rot your teeth.
That’s the public information out of the way, hope work isn’t too terrible for you today. I do love the idea of human cloning, I’m in the market for another me too, not sure the rest of the world would be ready for it though. Apparently I’m a nightmare on my own, think of the fun if there were two though…
      Have a wonderful day xxx

      • Hey Steph,

        How ya doing?

Paint them? Now that’s a good idea, one I hadn’t thought of. I had earmarked one of them as a pressie…it’s virtually new…the tallest I shall keep as it is but the third may get the psychedelic makeover it truly deserves. It will be a project for a rainy weekend. Thanks! πŸ™‚

As for sweets…I love sweets: always have always will πŸ™‚ I was a little bugger for sugary things when young and still enjoy the odd chomp every now and again. My mum recalls sitting in the chair I most often used in the family living room and wondering why the cushions crinkled when she sat back against them. Well…not wanting to be caught in possession of sugary contraband, I’d use the cushions around the living room as secret sugary stashes to hide sweets. I’d also use them as waste bins for sweet wrappers so that that mum didn’t see wrappers in the bin lol πŸ™‚ I’m not as bad as that these days but I can usually produce a mint imperial upon request anywhere anytime! It’s magic πŸ™‚

Regards the clones you wrote: ‘Apparently I’m a nightmare on my own, think of the fun if there were two though…’ My question is, how can you be a nightmare on your own?? What does that mean lol πŸ™‚ I agree that having a clone would be a whole lot more fun than not having one, but I’ve feeling two of me together for too long would all end up like HIghlander pretty quickly, as in ‘there can be only one!’ and we’d be stalking each other wanting to take heads πŸ™‚

Thank you for wishes for my Thursday…my day was a small notch up on yesterday and depending on which way decisions go tomorrow at work may or may not be a notch on that as well. Time will tell. Keep fingers crossed for a positive outcome. And your day? Did you get much done on your final draft yesterday? Have you started writing in your recently opened note book for the new book?

        Enjoy your evening. Take care.

      • Good Evening,
I guess I’m just a nightmare, alone or in company, I hasten to add I think I’m an angel πŸ˜‰ My fingers and toes are crossed for a lucky day for you work wise tomorrow. I must keep this short as I haven’t got as much done on my book as I had hoped, work has just been too hectic. Ah you asked what I did, yes retail, check this out https://www.facebook.com/manmythmagik/
I hope your evening is wonderful. Wish me luck I’m going back to the book.
The new notebook has a great opening paragraph….. and nothing else;)

      • Hey Steph,

Yes indeed, good luck getting back to the book! I wish you well πŸ™‚

We are all perfect in our own company. Me I am exemplary, but then wizards are…as you must know, no doubt you’ve had many in through the front doors of the shop. The type of shop you own comes as a wonderful surprise! My type of shop, full of curiosities, magic, and myth. Awesome! I like the word ‘hectic’ in your reply…it suggests at customers and deliveries! πŸ™‚ You have a great location from which to trade and a good eye for the products you sell…one or two I really liked: the Raven perched on the skull being one πŸ™‚ I worked in retail management for 12 years…supermarkets, department stores, and gift-ware…and fully appreciate it is a labour of love in most senses of the word πŸ™‚

Anyhoo, you should get back to your book….

Enjoy a pleasant evening. I hope you’ll add the second line to the notebook before daybreak.

  2. Hey Steph,

How are you doing? The Silver Winged Messenger swung by on his silver board and dropped me off here to write a line whilst he keeps the meter running πŸ™‚

Of course I had to come by and thank you for sign-posting Silver Winged Messenger. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the poem, thank you…it was the first narrative based poem I had written. A special day at the cemetery, bright, sunlit and full of good cheer; and an inspiring few hours at the graveside, my heart was pulled every which way in thought before finally finding a balance at the Airman’s graveside. His spirit inspired. I learnt a lot from engaging with the whole experience of that day: about life, death, the universe, Nature, cycles of time, Grace, Love, and compassion. All in all a very moving experience. Cemeteries are very peaceful places and offer chance for quiet reflection amidst beautiful surroundings that provide for contemplation. The older the cemetery the better.

I return to the graveside sometimes to sit and think else walk the many paths reading inscriptions and wondering about the lives once led by the people buried beneath my feet. The images one conjures and the stories that then follow those thoughts take the imagination on magical journeys to wherever they want to go…even to the stars on a surfboard dude! πŸ™‚

Thank you Steph for readership and appreciation, sign-posting and kind words, and for your hospitality whilst I’ve been here. Thank you πŸ™‚ Now I really must dash else the Messenger’s boarding-fare is going to set me back a fortune and I’ve only got a couple of bob with me… Until next time!

Hoping all is well and life blossoming roses in your garden. Take care.

      • Good morning Steph,

Always a pleasure, thank you πŸ™‚ You wrote, ‘…reflecting on all that we are’ – did you come up with any ultimate answers?

I slept through my alarm this morning and having woken late rang work seeking opportunity for a day’s leave. Gratefully they accepted my request and I was left happy. It’s a squally old day, wet and miserable…far better off under the duvet lol πŸ™‚

Whilst I chill-out and send best wishes hoping the taste of the crust is to your liking I have the soundtrack from Almost Famous playing through the headphones. You’ve my sympathies: I too have to return to the coal face in the morning. But dream BIG thoughts Steph and maybe one day those you work for will be working for you in your global empire! πŸ™‚

Have a wonderful day…scribble the day away in a pen colour of your choosing lol πŸ™‚ Take care of one and all.

        Namaste πŸ™‚

      • No very interesting answers I’m afraid, maybe my mood is coloured by the weather today. I am full of envy for you having a duvet day, for me there are no such luxuries. On the other hand there won’t be too many customers around so I can get stuck into my final draft.
Thank you for wishing that those I work for may one day work for me but the downside of that is I am the boss and the accountant and the cleaner etc… so if I turn it on its head I get the same outcome, still 7 days a week. On the upside, I love my business so it’s all good.
I hope you’re having a wonderfully relaxing day and dreaming the day away.
