Brian Wilson came to Glastonbury yesterday and brought with him the music from his Pet Sounds album, originally recorded in 1966.
In the beautiful hauntingly lit grounds of Glastonbury Abbey, the air was heavy with excitement as the huge crowds awaited a living legend.
I’ve always wanted to see him live and I finally got the chance but to my surprise the stars of the evening were Al Jardine and his son Matt. A great night was had by all and even the weather behaved. Brian Wilson was propped up by his brilliant band and he was a shadow of his former self, but still the crowds turned out in force for him and I hope he had a wonderful evening in Glastonbury as did everyone else.
