I have found myself drawn to wearing carnelian jewellery today. The beauty of this crystal always takes my breath away and makes me smile.
The stone is one of the oldest that was used for seals, jewellery and good luck charms. The Romans famously carved likenesses of their emperors and gods into carnelian. It was considered lucky and to wear it offered the ability of keeping the wearer healthy.
How can anyone look at this stone and not smile. Happiness and joy ooze from its beautiful colours it is said to expel negative emotions such as jealousy and envy. It can help attract joy and success and it is associated with solar energy, therefore offering energy and zest for life. If you need a little pick-me-up why not carry a piece of carnelian with you. It may just help.

Carnelian is a beautifully translucent stone shimmering with pastel shades of fire: it often reminds me of the sweet blush of an English rose.

How are you today? Did you sleep well? 🙂
My Friday arrived and I had already moved on to the weekend 5 minutes after having arrived at work this morning. I wasn’t in the mood at all…so booked a half day’s leave then took an hour of flexi-time and left at 11a.m. I am relieved to be back home. The claustrophobia at the coal-face of my employer was stifling. Hence I was able to enjoy a little sunshine en route home before the rain returned…the only benefit of which was that I was blessed by seeing a rainbow today and blessed with the beautiful thoughts that flowed from it.
Would you really look out for a Labradorite Skull for me? 😀 I’d be very grateful 🙂 It is an incredibly powerful stone bursting with mysticism, mystery, and magic. It’s a proper grown-up wizard’s stone to add to my gown and pointy hat lol 🙂
Regards the song and baited breath (!) it is a bit of a giggle, a colourful play on the word Carnelian…the best fit I could think of 🙂
Ah so the idea for the book cover is warming in the sunshine of your thinking and soon ready to burst forth from a pursed petal case and bloom a rose. I shall await the revealing with baited breath 😉
