Monday’s One-minute Fiction prompt, hosted by Lovely Curses. This week, the inspiration was the sentence “It’s the most wonderful time of the year”. Feel free to join in by clicking on the link above!
Five children stood around the snow covered tree, their voices soared above them, a sweet sound. The shoppers that surrounded them smiled in appreciation.
As they sang Santa walked inbetween them and handed out gifts, their voices never faltered once even though you could see the pleasure twinkling in their eyes. The smallest boy grabbed Santa’s hand and his eyes immplored Santa to stay just a moment longer.
Santa obliged and added his voice to the children’s and suddenly delicate flakes of snow fell about them. It truly is the most wonderful time of year!
