Music of My Life #19

A musical walkthrough of my life, I hope you’re enjoying it.

1983 –

This seemed to be the song of the year for me, although, it was released a few years before 1983 it was the one that brings back great memories from this year.

  1. Hey Steph, Namaste 🙂

I remember this track but I really can’t believe it was release 1980…suddenly I feel middle-aged in an ever-green sense of course meaning 15 tops lol 🙂

Curious to know what is your favourite track from all those being posted?

Hoping Christmas was a roaring success and 2018 will be memorable in ways you haven’t even thought of yet 🙂

    Love and Peace. Namaste 🙂

P.S: I think I’m getting man-flu to start the new year with which isn’t ideal but at least it gets it done and out the way early in the year.

    • Not the dreaded man flu…. oh no wrap up & look after yourself.

My favourite hasn’t as yet been listed, I’ll let you know when it is. 🙂
Christmas was peaceful as I hope yours was too.
Happy New Year and I hope you are well enough to celebrate in at least some small way.

      • Hey Steph, Namaste 🙂

Aw, thank you for the medicinal music and thoughts: a spoonful of Jethro Tull helps take the pain away:

‘Tip-toes in silence `round my bed
        and quiets the raindrops overhead.
        With her everlasting smile
She still my fever for a while.
        Oh, nursie dear,
        I’m glad you’re here
        to brush away my pain.’

I will not be discouraged from celebrations: even if that means staying in the warm and dreaming of my muse beneath the light of a cherished distant Moon.

Best Wishes to you and yours…whatever you do do by way of celebration, I trust it welcomes the New Year in with style and panache. I’d ask if you had resolutions Steph but something tells me you are not the type to be limited by either convention or tradition. Rock On!

I am intrigued to know what your choice of favourite track will be, so I guess I’ll just have to wait to find out and enjoy the duke-box as it plays out here on your Blog. Until then…

        Love and Peace. Namaste 🙂

      • You are right, there will be no resolutions under this roof. Why set ourselves up to fail. I don’t do the countdown thing but I like to go out for a drink in the evening then out for coffee the following morning. Sometimes I make it but mostly I’m too lazy to bother ( there’s an insite into my life 😁)
So how about you, resolutions or plans for the new year? Whatever you do just enjoy it.

      • I have to admire that perspective and can reliably state that I never make resolutions per se, I try to set reasonable intentions – those that I have a vague chance of keeping – but otherwise I feel the same as you do: why set oneself up to fail. However I have as yet to confirm any intentions with myself either, so 2018 remains an oyster or a ripe ham[per always overflowing like a brimming cornucopia. Fingers crossed! 🙂

As for New Year’s Eve, I shall be reaming of the places and all the people that I’d like to be start the NY with, and hoping that maybe next NY i’ll get to celebrate the start of a NY with someone special…this Wizard is getting cold after so long wandering a far-away mountain. I’ve not got a clue how that would pan out in reality, but I’ve got 365 days to find out 🙂 Other than that i’ll hope to attend to the writing with intention to get stuff published and start a bookshelf here at Castle Deeply Dewin. Like all who write and create images, it would be wonderful to be able to leave my employer and make a living doing what I love. It’s a dream and we must all have a dream and a Star to wish upon to enable the magic to happen. So for me, it’s eyes to the sky hoping for a New Moon and a Star called Venus 🙂 I don’t think that is much to ask for do you?

But yes you are quite right: life is too short to not enjoy it all. Best foot forward for thee me and one and all.

        Enjoy your evening. Namaste 🙂

      • Than you Steph, I’ll keep fingers crossed that we are both successful in all the ways we need, want, hope, dream and desire. Outside of that all is subject to pot-luck opportunity and the attentions of a benign and loving universe. I’ve a feeling it’ll be a good year and far improved on the one we are due to leave behind for posterity.

        Namaste 🙂
