Sunday 7pm.

I’m fast finding out that Sunday evenings at 7pm can offer pivotal moments in our lives.

According to the BBC this is the time that you are most likely to find your life partner. It’s the most successful time of the week, so if you’re single I’m giving you the heads up with a few hours to spare. Get your glad rags on and enjoy yourselves.

According to other studies I’ve been looking at it is also the time of the week that you’re most likely to cheat on your diet. Our willpower is at its lowest so if you don’t find love you can console yourselves and find some calories instead.

Of course if you are already part of a couple and on a diet you may just want to bury your head under the duvet until Monday morning and do your best to ignore Sunday evenings altogether.

      • Namaste Steph 🙂

How are you….how was your day?

You are most welcome…I thought it was the next logical step in an campaign for success. So did you meet an angel today? Perhaps not physically, but angels are said to move in mysterious ways: one may have appeared and you might not have even known. How are your plans for success?

Thank you, my Monday was fair-to-middling and ended with a really pleasant conversation with someone I should have been friends with a year ago…but like all things in life, there is a time and place for friendship. The curiosity underpinning this conversation was that 12 months before they came to work where I do, I had to come up with a name for Merlin’s wand for my book. If I told you that the name I chose was so close a match for this person’s name so as to be almost identical you can understand my wizard’s fascination.

I’ve also had the maintenance guys resolve the plumbing issues in the flat which is great unless they decide to re-plumb throughout and that will mean disruption. But for now everything seems to be flowing nicely, so fingers crossed 🙂

Have I ever mentioned that I have a bit of a penchant for collecting odds and ends that I find on my path to and from work each day? Items found are diverse and range from playing cards to bracelets, small toys, coins, rubber bands and a whole host of other bits and pieces like tools, keyrings, earrings etc. I keep a treasure box at work and one at home to house these items lol 🙂 (I use the term treasure quite loosely – I mean what does a guy with short hair do with 87 elasticated hair-bands found in the last 6 months or so? lol) Anyway, every now and again I find something special. Today’s finds included two arms from a small Lego character: with each arm extending to a hand holding a flaming wand! How cool is that! Not just one flaming wand but 2 flaming wands!! 🙂 My finds are symbolic to me and my time spent contemplating them provides endless minutes of dreaminess as I ponder the significance of the finds in relation to me and the universe. The flaming wands need no unpacking here: let’s just say I was joyous to have had them find me 🙂 It may appear strange that I collect these ‘trinkets’, but I like to imagine that the Universe is speaking to me in a very personal and intimate way and in an empirical sense delivering not just reassurance but also direction and guidance as well: for example a cyclist’s ‘headlamp’ found a couple of weeks ago arrived just at the point when in relation to a poem I was heavily involved with I was just about to enter into a very dark space in a very dark place: it brought me a sense of illumination. On the exact same day, I met and had discussion with someone who was blind: they were very reassuring to me. My life is constantly like this everyday and I love it Steph! I love the madness in it all: the displacement, the constant shifting of thoughts on a tumulus sea. I am a firm believer that we all experience such moments when our benign universe, synchronicity, fate and chance conspire together to inspire creativity. I could tell you a hundred stories about synchronous moments, but imagine you have tales of your own to tell? There is always magic everywhere if one knows where to look 😀

I’ve written far to much, so will pause/break, and go get a coffee 🙂 I’m not that long in from work…the compressed hours I work have me at my desk long after most people have already arrived home. Never mind, it’s worth it.

        Namaste 🙂

  1. Hey Steph, Namaste 🙂

I am heading for Zzzzz: a full day at t’coal face in mornin’ and I need my beauty sleep lol 🙂

Thanks for your company…I enjoyed sharing wishes, colouring dreams, and taking a very quiet stroll down memory lane.

I always go play a slow one before lights-out…here a little number from Billy Joel.

Sweet dreams Lady of The Tor, Keeper of Unicorns, Authoress and Legend.

      • It’s been lovely here as well. I like being thought of as young lol 🙂 It brings our entire weekend’s conversation full-circle and closes the loop. It has been enlightening, illuminating, and sincere: a wizard working at his weave could not ask for better company.

Yes indeed, success should be first and foremost in your mind: after-all you are a success and will always be driven to be successful. 🙂

Sweet dreams Lady of The Tor 😉

The Love of my life appears at 7,
When I weak willed shall be smitten,
Wild with passion and corruptible desire
Lucky number 7 sets me on fire.
    ~
Will she walk into my life through an open door?
Will she knock else use her key?
Will the face of my Love be known to me,
As the one I’ve been dreaming of?
    ~
Will I be worthy of one so elegantly fine?
Will some miracle of Love make her mine?
Will she vanquish darkness and conquer me?
Will I surrender to Love, to Grace and Beauty?
    ~
At 7 o’clock her Star will have stopped
    Paused above the horizon line.
From her lofted station with admiration,
Will she gaze at me knelt in adoration.
    ~
Her Knight Of Cups her noble Sage,
The last Templar Knight of the current age.
The last Knight defending her Venusian Rose.
My Lady of Love from whom all things flow.

      • Ah, but hang on, there comes at knock at the door! Oh my, what shall I do?

Suddenly I up and rushing for the front door like an express train…

‘Can I read the water meter mate?’

      • Excellent! A wise choice Steph…you saved yourself from a whole heap of pain lol 🙂

I went and got a burger and chips to nullify the pain. I’m feeling a little better now that my beast is sated.

One day my Princess will come: for they say there is someone for each of us somewhere on this Earth. I shall keep wandering as might a transiting star, wondering my Love, where you are?

Back to melancholy and minstreling: tis the way of an abandoned poet’s 😦

      • You are a wit 🙂 Self-propelled with time-travelling capability: that’s pretty special magic by anyone’s standards!

Wish 2 – Perfect. Just perfect. And why should that wish never come true? There is a beach called Success just waiting for you.

And your last wish? No pressure lol 🙂

      • What a lovely thought, a beach called success, I shall be adding that into my visualisation. I have a very particular property in mind. Which I wrote about in my second novel.
        I digress….
Wish 3 is more difficult, if I had the first 2 I wouldn’t need anything else, I’d be blessed indeed. So how about new sparkly stables for the world’s unicorns.
Yes that’d do me. 😊 then I’d be happy.
        So now yours?

      • 🙂 The Thai spelling for ‘Success’ is Steph …golden sand awaits thee, and a room with a view in a house by the sea built on a beach called success upon an Island called Harmony. Perhaps your next novel will bring you closer to achieving that dream.

        Digression is good…it builds suspense.

Blessed indeed to even meet the Fairy Godmother let alone bag two wishes and spend a third treating unicorns 🙂 I think you have chosen well and wisely and will and see no reason why your wishes cannot come true.

My 3rd wish would be to write a book so profound it’d change the entire course of human civilization and lead the people of the world through an already open doorway and onwards to a New Age. 🙂 Then I’d be happy.

We have our lists, we wait now to see if wishes really do come true.

      • A little too grand? A little greedy perhaps? Well, it’s a dirty job but someone has to do it: so why no a Wizard called Dewin Nefol? lol 🙂 The door is already open Steph, people only need be given a map: it is they who must walk across the threshold. Magic can never really work against someone’s will, it can only tinker with what is already there.

A New Age – tis a term for a period in our social history when Love will be the cohesive force between all humankind. Indeed it might be the only common denominator we share, the only virtue that will be left for the common man when all Hope is gone.

Your very next book could change the world. You are a wizard as well.

Indeed, we just have to wait and see: close our eyes and simply believe, our Fairy Godmother will bless us with all we need 🙂

      • Amen to that! If one can envision it happening, then it will happen. We are self-sovereign rulers, creative beings, designed, evolved, to fulfil our destiny, learn of Love, and know of Happiness. Having the motivation to achieve all three is what defines us. By that measure, you are a star.

      • It’s already yours!! And the property that goes with it: it’s breath-taking. The locals have already starting referring to the house built there as ‘The Ink Well’ but I imagine you have another name in mind, right? 🙂

      • 🙂 Aww, I would be forever charmed. Maybe after you’ve got there and settled-in, I’ll pay a fleeting visit and taste a little paradise with you 🙂 By then you’ll already be famous! 😀

      • There will standing room only but the wait to be met and welcomed by a global-writing sensation will be worth it.

It will be a home as much a thriving community…wizard’s will flock from afar, all there just to take a selfie with you! 🙂

Have a wonderful night’s sleep. Perhaps I’ll see you in the Astro Café where the next choccy-mocha is on you 🙂

        Sweet dreams. Namaste 🙂

  3. Hey Steph, Namaste 🙂

I’m breaking from the Wizard Of Wands and needed a distraction. This post was perfect. I had no idea this was the point in the weekend when our will-power weakens. Fascinating.

I thought I’d pen a grubby gold line around the 7pm theme, ‘cos 250 stanza’s-worth of poetic-preamble for the Book leaves me climbing walls lol 🙂

    Tick-tock goes the clock,
    As 7pm draws closer,
My rags are glad my excitement mad,
I’ve a loaded pistol in my holster
    ~
I am the Artful Hatter heading for town,
At 7pm I’m going to be crowned!
Be made King by a lucky mucky Queen,
The finest galloping filly I’ve ever seen!
    ~
By night we will chase the slippery Moon,
Interweave our shadows on the devouring loom,
Shall we race, shall we pace, shall we slow and swoon,
Shall we flow together, shall we sing like one Loon.
    ~
Come dawn when stars melt away,
Will the magic we found remain and stay?
Else might you leave me always bound this way:
Covered in chocolate on the bed in which I lay!

Whichever option you go for, I trust you will be well rewarded for your choice. Have a wonderful evening and great week. Take care of you.

    Namaste 🙂
