TBR file #4

We all have a pile of books that one day we’ll get around to reading. Well, I hope we all have and it’s not just me. This will be a regular update on books I think are worth reading.

I’m going to add a few here that I’ve got waiting patiently to be read, I’m hoping if you have read any of them that you will let me know whether they should move up or down the pile, I’ll be adding a few books that look interesting too and will be added to the pile in the future.

220px-Neverwhere

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. A brilliant read, I’ve read this so many times and it still holds magic for me. It stays constantly in my TBR pile and every so often I feel the pull of this amazing book. If you’ve never read it, do, it’s really worth your time.

An ordinary Londoner stops to help an enigmatic girl and joins a battle to save the strange underworld kingdom of London Below from destruction.

magicianscurse

The Magician’s Curse by Linda G Hill. Even true love can be cursed …

Charming and mysterious, Stephen Dagmar is a stage magician seeking an assistant. The moment he sets eyes on Herman, he knows she’s the one. He brings her home to his Victorian mansion where they embark upon an extravagant romance. Yet a shadow hangs over their love. Will the curse on his family end Stephen and Herman’s happily ever after, before it really begins.

notorious19

Notorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovitch. I read so many of these in order that I’d pretty much worn myself out by the time I got to 19 so it still sits in the pile waiting patiently for my attention. I’ve loved all of the Stephanie Plum books so when I get back to this one I’m sure I’ll love it.

songs of heartstrings

Songs of Heartstrings by Miriam Hurdle.  Human being has the will power to travel through an exhausting journey, win a tough battle, and heal a deep wound. Strength from hope keeps us going until the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight and striving until the storm is over.

Songs of Heartstrings plays the melancholy tune of the suffering and transcending to the melody of serenity and peace. It is a road traveled with optimism, hope and appreciation amid heartache circumstances and an unpredictable cancer. It also celebrates true love and fulfilling relationships.

Hurdle in her poetry collection includes nine themes: Songs of Nature, Songs of Dissonance, Songs of Physical Healing, Songs of Marriage, Songs of Parenthood, Songs of Tribute, Songs of Reflections, Songs of Challenge, and Songs of Inspiration. Each of these themes covers various aspects of her life experience. Many poems are illustrated with her photos and watercolor paintings.

The poems in this collection are inspiring to the mind, heart and spirit. The readers will echo with these experiences.
