National Unicorn Day.

One of the best days of the year.

National Unicorn Day is to be celebrated with lots of sweet treats and glitter. So if you want some magic in your life buy/make cupcakes and have lots of colour in your day.

The wild woodland creature, first mentioned by the ancient Greeks was originally thought of to represent power and strength but with the passage of time into the middle ages that belief has turned into a representation of love and purity. Bought about by the unicorn being depicted with maidens in works of art.

Even Leonard De Vinci gave his thoughts on how to entrap a unicorn.

‘The unicorn, through its intemperance and not knowing how to control itself, for the love it bears to fair maidens forgets its ferocity and wildness; and laying aside all fear it will go up to a seated damsel and go to sleep in her lap, and thus the hunters take it.’

So however you feel about unicorns I will be wishing a wonderful day for you all.
