Can dogs eat broccoli?
A superfood to us humans, but is it of any benefit to dogs?
Yes, dogs can eat broccoli, both raw and cooked, but only in small amounts. Broccoli contains isothiocyanates which can cause gastro issues in dogs. To avoid problems, it should only be fed as a maximum of 10% of your dog’s daily food intake. Dogs react differently to eating broccoli, with some more sensitive than others. Give them a tiny bit of broccoli to begin with, and then you can increase the amount gradually.
Broccoli should always be fed as an ‘extra’ to your dog’s everyday food. Nutritionists recommend that treats or extras only take up 10% of their daily calorie needs anyway, so feed sparingly.

I’ve more or less given up on FB, but if there are dogs involved, I’ll try to make it.
