If you follow this blog you’ll know exactly how I feel about graphics, but it’s come around to that time again… trying to come up with cover ideas for ‘After The Light, After The Love’ . Today I threw myself into it, determined to come up with some ideas…
I am stumped…
I’ll try again tomorrow.
Hey Steph,
π Always good to have you smile.
Ooh, sorry the link didn’t work… try this? If not then the song is Sad Cafe – Everyday Hurts – Top of The Pops, October 4th 1979.
Let me know what you think? I have no idea what your book is about, the song and impulse came from the title π
Hope all is well after a hard day. Take care of you.
Namaste π

Oh I know and love that song. I may have to shed a little tear over that one. (It’s been an emotional week)
Thank you for reminding me of this lovely sad song.
But 1979! I didn’t think I was that old π
Thank you, enjoy your evening too.

Hey Steph π
You do? π I am so pleased…it’s a memorable little track.
Concluding the writing of a novel (about l-o-v-e?) deserves a little tiny tear, also a rug and a settee to ease into.
Some weeks spill tears of sadness, others thrill tears of gladness, but all weeks bring us Love.
1979! I was somewhere between a boy and being a bigger boy lol π Heady days eh Steph, heady days.
Sweet dreams for when you get to Zzzzz.

Thank you Dewin.
1979, days when nothing mattered except having fun and responsibility was an unknown concept. Music and friends. Happy days.
Sweet dreams for you too…

That sounds like a wonderful image from which to start the dream that ends in your cover image π
Happy days, happy dreams, happy endings π
See you in the dreamtime.

Hey Steph,
These two images are adorable…perhaps either one would work as the cover. Both creatures appear a little melancholy in their moment of near collapse π The Otter is very endearing…the beautiful cat reminds me of a pair of fancy slippers discarded on Xmas day, or a rather forlorn toupee, or perhaps a spades worth of flat-out hairy road-kill.
As to the cover…best wishes and good luck. You’ll think of something right off the top shelf after you’ve had a good nights sleep and let the sand settle a little after all of today’s thinking. Grab a large glass of something red alcoholic and fruity and ease into your evening…tomorrow will be one of those special days for sure.
Tis cheeky to leave a song on your Blog but feel free to edit it out etc. It was the title of your book…it brought the following tune back from the past.
Have a happy evening π Take care.
Namaste π

A forlorn toupee… thank you… I needed that image to make me laugh. You’ll need to send that link again, it’s not offering up anything and I’m intrigued now… π
