Remember Them #25

I thought it would be nice to relive some of the tunes that I for some time had forgotten about but at times in my life meant something to me, they will mainly be the songs and bands that anyone under the age of thirty (Ok forty… who am I kidding!) may never have heard of, if you’re a little older you may just have some memories of your own in amongst the music to follow, there’ll be some rubbish in here but I can promise there’ll be some gems too.

Lynyrd Skynyrd American southern rock band. Formed in 1964 they found their popularity in the 70’s. Unfortunately a plane crash in 1977 killed two band members and a backup singer, although they went on to record and have some success there was a feeling that something was missing from then on. There have been many new members that have come and gone over the years but they are still mainly remembered for ‘Freebird’ & ‘Sweet Home Alabama’

For me personally, they bring back sweet memories of rock nights in the ‘Golden Eagle’ now sadly long gone into history.
